My wife's Rx330 has a solid rear spoiler off the roof and light snow and dirt from dusty roads just hang on the back windshield forever.
On the other hand, a rear spoiler with an opening like Subaru uses on the previous generation Outback is basically a large u shape and the cutout lets air move down the windshield.
Obviously the avant has a solid spoiler. Has anyone seen an aftermarket spoiler with a cutout like I described above?
Since this must be removable, if someone made an aftermarket one, swapping it out should be fairly easy.
The aesthetic look is not the focus of my question, but rather the improved airflow over the rear window. Driving through the mountains with blowing snow can make visibility quite nasty and I speculate that the factory rear spoiler will have the same shortcomings as the RX330.
