What is the avg. wait time for new orders? (more.

Has anyone here walked into a dealer and driven home with what's in the lots? Seems like everyone is waiting 6+ months for one...

Bad thing for an impatient one like me....

...there are two dealers in the Phoenix area that have 6-8 A5's and at least 2-3 S5's.

I have a great sales contact for the Scottsdale dealer if you are interested...let me know.

He put down his deposit last January for an S5. I put down my deposit the same day for an A5 and got it last May. This is in Alberta.

..one is Black pearl with Tuscan interior, Tip with Prem only. The other is Red with Pearl interior, manual, loaded. I was checking them out when I bought my A5. If you are interested, call Kerstin at 480-538-4000 (she is a German transplant) - tell her CJ referred you!

I'm curious about the RS5 as well. I heard out of state purchases can be a hassle and sometimes even lose more money with a transfer... Is this true?

Through nothing but dumb luck, I stumbled onto one that was exactly the dream spec I would have ordered from the factory if I were ticking boxes on an order form, with the possible exception of Drive Select (might have wanted to try that, but probably would not have ponied up for it in the end).

Now I just need to stay employed so I won't be living in the car - though it's damned nice inside. Did you know the seat reclines all the way back? Wow.

You will be waiting a long time for the RS5 if it even comes to the states.

If your buying new an out of state buy is pretty easy - just get a good transport company and usually the dealers know one already.
