Some options are just available independently rather than only in a package (as they are here).

if they sold for the European price equivalent...
nobody would buy the product. so the manufacturers sell them at a price point the market will bear and try to make up the difference on the back end by buying future currency contracts. this is called hedging, and they all do it.
