Default Color of rear turn signal indicators?

Okay, admittedly this is not nearly in the top things to wonder about re. this car, but I am curious: Are the rear turn signal indicators on US models red or amber? Thanks.

Default Re: Color of rear turn signal indicators?

unfortunately they are red
never understood the logic of red turn signals
only in the states
the rest of the world uses amber for turn and red for brake
here when someone turns on their turn signal
you have to decide if one brake light is out or if it really is a turn signal

Default That's what I thought - I saw replacement tail lights with amber signals...

...on some web site, and it got me wondering. I agree - amber is much better. I might spring for the $300 or so to replace them.

Here's the link to these tail lights. It says they're manufactured by Audi. Anyone familiar with these? Will these work on US cars?

Default Don't know why you would even want more amber, but I know nothing about these lights.

Default Yes, they will work just fine. The bulb carrier just pops out of the old lamp assembly and

into the new one. I did this swap on my A4 and it was a breeze. However, these newer cars are a little harder to get to the backside of the housings.
