Default Spacers, dealer refused - liability?

I just got my spacers and also was having my 5k service so I figured I would bring with and have the dealer put them on. They looked at me like I was crazy and basically refused to put them on for liability reasons. Has anyone else heard that?

Default Did you get longer wheel bolts to go with? A lot of dealers worry about that and wheel

bearing wear.

Default Which dealer? Don Rosen?

How much did they charge you to put them on?

Default What kind do you have? H&R spacers are great quality - quite a few of us running them

Sounds like the dealer's just being difficult. I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with quality spacers on their cars. They have no more effect than putting wider aftermarket wheels on the car that use a more aggressive offset to fill the wheel well.

Default No, I believe the spacer bolts first and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

Default H&R spacers from MadAudi.com. I installed them myself. Real easy.

The spacer bolts to the hub with bolts that are included, and then you bolt the wheel to the spacer using the original bolts. Maybe a half hour total. You should use a torque wrench. I put 20mm on the front and 25mm on the rear.
