Default S-Line Vs No S-Line

Anyone have side by side pics of a A5 with and without S-Line package? Can not decide if I should go with it or not. The dealership only had non-sline so could not see them side by side. If anyone experienced both in person could post their opinions, both on looks and drive, that would be appreciated. Also, which are the standard wheels on the S-line?

Thanks in advance

Default S-Line has summer only tires. That was a deal breaker for me. Got the non S-Line and all weather

Default S-line has the y-spoke wheels which are an option on the standard model.

I like the exterior look of the S-line. Makes it look very close to an S5. Only catch is the S-line is only available with a black interior.

Default Re: S-Line Vs No S-Line

Only reason I am considering the S-Line is because the more aggressive front and rear bumpers and the black headliner. I will be swapping out the wheels, tires, euro-spec HID's and suspension, so none of that other stuff concerns me. Just not sure Im ready to pay $4500 for S Line and Premium just for bumpers and headliner.

Default The S-Line seats alone make it worth the price of entry. Great seats.

$4500 for seats, pretty pricey!

Default I don't think it's worth it if...

...you're going to mod out all the other stuff. The major draws for me were the seats (wihch I probably could have lived without, if it were that alone) and the much lower wheel gap. I can hardly tell the difference on the fascias. If you're modding, then the only major advantage is the seats. There are other niceties (black headliner and so on), but it's hard to say they're worth the extra cash if you're going to upgrade all the major components anyway.

Default Only interior color is black

The black interior was the deal-breaker for me; I like lighter colors. I did get the optional wheel and tire package. The standard seats are contoured and comfortable. If I want to beef up the suspension, I'll go aftermarket like I did on my A6 2.7T

Default S-Line on the A5 is a $2900 option.

Which today consists of:

Sport suspension
19" Five-arm Y-design wheels with 255/35-R19 summer performance tires*
S line unique front and rear bumpers and grille
S line badge on fenders
Sport seats
Brushed aluminum interior decorative inlays
Three-spoke multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel with S line badge and silver stitching.
Silver stitching on shift boot
Headlamp washers
Aluminum door sill scuff plates with S line badge
Black headliner

Now it's easy to put a pricetag on some things. Sport Suspsension $250, Perlnappa upgraded leather sport seats $1000, 19" wheels $900. While it's more difficult to put a price on pure replacement items like the black headliner. However the aforementioned items alone total $2150 making the cumulative price of everything else included in the S-Line only $750. If you are interested in all of the items included in the S-Line then it is a relative bargan.
