When people are like oh my god so one on the road, ... the excitement being they just saw one, not anything unique or special about it, just that they actually saw one, that should tell you something ...

I like coming to this site for some of the discussions, but I really hate the forum format that they use. It's difficult to see what's new in any one thread, and I find myself just rereading a bunch of stuff.

Check out http://www.a5oc.com/forums/ there isn't a lot of activity there as well, but there's still a lot of good info to be found.

I believe that number refers purely to S5s.
That's a really small number of cars to be sold.

There are just under 300 million Americans.

That means there is roughly 1 S5 for roughly every 180,000 people.

I know that's a miniscule number considering the number of cars on US roads, but based on a blurb from the WSJ earlier this month (link below) I would have thought it would be even fewer S5s (even when you add the S5s delivered this month and in 2007). I don't mean to be splitting hairs; I'm just curious.

No matter how you look at it, it's a very small number for sure!

So that makes our A5/S5 "club" even more exclusive than you thought! Pretty exciting, isn't it?! And if those WSJ stats are accurate, then there are probably fewer than 400 female A5/S5 owners in the US. Wow, now I feel REALLY special!

Isn't it fun to be such a rarity? As a friend who spotted an S5 in the Boston area the other day said: "It was like seeing a zebra in the back yard."
