Its been 2 weeks without the S5...... :-(

Although as you might think i am going to go on a service experience rant, this has nothing to do with the drive ability of the car.

2 weekends ago i was running down to my car, parked in a underground garage in Chicago, only to find my drivers side window completely shattered. Interior covered with glass. Somehow a hooligan bent the rear door to the garage and broke in searching for easily stealable objects. Out of 12 cars, they broke into mine and my neighbors Acura. Stole my V1, sunglasses, and cd's only to leave my ipod in the glove box. (obviously a quick swipe and run)

I brought it to a body shop on monday and they said it was 2-3 weeks wait for a window! Only 5 were on they way, and they were somewhere on a freighter. Even though they ordered through an Audi dealer (F-Jones), the dealer refused to give me a loaner. Very irritating.

Anyway, i call the dealer myself yesterday to see the status on the glass... it had been delivered to the body shop 2 days ago! Once i call the dealer they basically don't know that the glass had arrived yet. So now im without my car for yet another (extended) spring weekend.

The positive of the story, im getting 35% tint all the way around and the AWE exhaust intalled hopefully next week. Being without the car has awakened my modding bug.

And yes, i was sure to stress to the body shop to be careful of the amp and water damage that has been caused to many other A5/S5 owners.

Cant wait to get the car back! Will be posing pics soon!

about blown amps due to water leakage from the tinting job!

Sorry to hear about the S5. Sucks how people break stuff that cost $$$ to repair to steal peanuts.

window is put in? This way there are no gaps at the top.

I was in chicago for a few weeks, last year. Had a few issues with the TT.
