Me to, totally something I would have done to my S5 when I get it.

Default I thought about it but abandoned the idea because of potential issues with getting the proper airbag

I'm sure it can be done since a lot of RS4 owners install the Euro flat bottom often. I believe they are using the A8 airbag though. Good luck to those going for it though - it will look awesome Pics please!

Default Per Quattrings msg v-v-v below, what are you doing for the airbag?

Default I am sure it can be done also. The first one I saw (Sept 07) had one...

...and it was the dealer Demo. It looked great, and I never asked a question about it because I thought that was simply how they were made.

Later, I saw one at an auto show, then saw another at a dealer when I actually test drove it, those two both had regular steering wheels. I have been disappointed since.

I wish the flat-bottom wheel was an option, since we all have to order the cars anyway.

Default From what I understand taking experience from the RS4 flat-bottomed wheel situation is....

it isn't brought here because of US DOT crash testing. Apparently Audi AG would have to do all kinds of specific crash testing, etc to get the flat-bottomed wheel approved althought in all likelyhood it is just fine. Because of this added expense Audi supposedly is not equipping cars that are US bound with teh wheel and just default it to the standard round wheel.

Can anyone else confirm this?
