Default RS4 Values.

I know this isn't an exact science but was wondering where current owners expect prices on the RS4's to settle in the next 12 months. I currently own a B6 S4 and am planning on looking at the B8 S4 when it comes out, but I think I'm hooked on the V8 engine.

Any thoughts, comments?

If this helps, here are some current auction prices on 2007's:

Default I would think bout

mid/low 40s if we're lucky. Hopefully these resale values will taper off and stop tanking.

Default Re: I would think bout

Yep - I'm in the same boat with mine, believe me. Just putting that out of my head and enjoying it.

Default As I have been down this path with the RS6 its going to steadily keep dropping, and way more so as

early cars come off lease. Low 40's to mid 40s retail in a year. Mine has steadily lost around $12K a year but it did start out a little higher on mine used. Bought it exactly 3 years ago at $69...trade in last month would have been $29K but dealers near me only offered mid 20s.

Default Quit bitching about resales already

ALL cars depreciate, period. Where will the RS4 settle out in a year? Low $40's. Within a few years, they'll be in the mid 30's, just like E46 M3's. The path is guaranteed but not predictable in it's rate.

You want to see depreciatin? Buy a Mercedes.

I owned a 2005 SL600. Paid $153,000 for it, 14 months later, dealer offered $93,000. Sold it private party for $105,000. THAT'S some serious depreciation.
