Why did you install the antenna in the gauge cluster? Is that the recommended location?

That is the recommended location according to the person that sold me the unit. He did send a GPS antenna, but I have heard there is a way to hook it up to the shark fin. I just did not want to pull the headliner out or the covers that cover the airbags. In a clear open area I get 8 satellites with the antenna being behind the gauge cluster.

Default I saw the pics, can you still play CDs?

I saw the pics, what happened to your CD player? Is it now trunk or glove box mounted?

If I had enough extra money, I would do that, plus get the aux-in. How does this system handle iPods? Any different than the crappy old interface?

You have to use the DVD slot to play CD's. I was hoping for a better IPOD interface, but it is no different then the old unit. It does have 2 SD card slots behind the screen, I use those instead of using CD's. I think the unit does sound better then the old one.
