Default It's Here.

I test drove my wife's new TT today, and we pick it up in the morning. It is a 3.2, silver with red interior, DSG, mag suspension, leather package, adaptive headlights, bluetooth, sat radio. I know there have been a lot of comments good and bad on the new model, but here are mine:

Interior: Great fit and finish. I'm very impressed at the quality for the price. I also own a BMW Z8 and a 911S. To me, the interior is a combination of the two. The plastic aluminum really doesn't bother me. I think some of the MK1 owners bad mouth this because they don't know what else to pick on in the car. Fantastic seats.

Performance/Handling: This is one torquey little beast. It won't run with my other cars for long, but it is quick off the line and impressive power for a 3.2.

Dollars: I got $500 off since I also have an A8 from this dealer. Lease numbers are $859 per month with 10k per year, $2552 initial payment. Here is a surprise to me- the residual is set at $29029 at 36 months and 10k per year. This seems agressive to me, given Audi's depreciation history. The money factor on the lease is .00265 which equates to 6.36%. If you make a one time lease prepayment ($29,519 including taxes/fees), the interest rate drops to about 4%.

Final impression- great car for the price and a real looker in person. This car replaces a MB 500SL with no regrets.

Default Interior gripes have been covered in detail - still, they are just opinions...

Will do after we pick it up. It is kind of obnoxious, but at least its behind the cup holders.

Default What was your MSRP? I'm a little shocked about the payment amount.

Default Does that include sales tax? I only ask because here in Oregon we don't have that priviledge :)
