Thinking out of my box

Found this shot from last year and a 10-22 rental. Trying something new (external flash held arms-length lower left exposing for subject not background) - would like some feedback either way on processing.

Not so much if that wasnt your intention. its definately a more powerful image in b&w IMO. The blown out sky to me was a little distracting, but I love "candid" type children shots so I dig it. __________________
