Default Got my sensor cleaning kit in the mail today....

i ordered from Copper Hill Images per the suggestion of someone here. i didn't get the kit with the brush though.

any pointers other than following the tutorial? it'll be nice to have zero dust spots. i think i counted nearly a dozen small ones the other day.

Default I thought the tutorial and instructions made it seem a whole lot harder than it actually is

The instructions in particular make it seem like brain surgery. Sure, there's the potential for a pretty expensive mistake if you stab your sensor or something, but the actual cleaning really isn't hard.

Default it's easy... just don't use TOO much pressure or cleaning fluid. oh and try to avoid getting the

eclipse solution on your skin... nasty stuff. Oh also don't let it touch wood, or you can kiss the finish/stain good bye.

Default Exactly. . . .. it is my feeling that this guy tries to make it "hard" and "scary"

to warrant the price he charges.

Default did it last night with no problems....

actually ended up doing it twice. after the first swab i noticed my largest and most annoying dust spot gone, but there were still some small ones i knew i could get. so i went and did it all again with almost perfect results. there is one spot on the lower middle right of the images (so that's upper left on the actual sensor, right?), but i'll get that some other time.

it was definitely easier than i thought. the only thing i'll need to practice more of is wrapping the pec pad.
