Default do alot of post-processing (ie photoshop) on those? my s500 pics dont come out like that - any tips?

Default I ran them through Neatimage first to filter and sharpen, then in PS I

cropped, resized, auto leveled and auto colored... that's about it... spent maybe 10 minutes and they turned out great...

The pictures weren't too bad to begin with though- I used the timer and the setting that takes the picture with the flash and then extended exposure (if that makes sense).
