Default Has anyone imported an a4 or other into Europe from North America?

I am looking to bring my 2001 a4 from canada to switzerland. I will be moving there. My research tells me I may need to change to europsec headlights, although a local dealer there said they recently did an A3 and didn't have to change anything. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I have imported my US spec B5 S4 into Germany. I did have to go through inspection to make sure everything complid with German law. That pretty much included taking the tint off, making sure the car was 11mm off the ground, all the components were in working order. You will need to check with your country to see what you will need to change.

Default Switzerland may be a different ball game than Germany

It's apparently not too bad to get it in here...wish I would have. Cars are damn expensive here!

I would recommend calling the equivalent of TUV in Switzerland. Also, figure on 2 to 3k in transport costs.
