3.0TDI Q7 vs. 3.6L V6 Q7? big differences?

I've tried searching, but haven't found anything about them.

Do they have about the same power, but the diesel has more torque?

What are the key differences? Is this TDI a 50 state diesel, like the new Jetta TDI? (I live in Maine, where we can't buy those diesels)

reason, I'm asking is, when the TDI is out in the U.S, my dad wants to trade in the 3.6 and get the diesel.

I run a diesel tow rig and the biggest downfall is there is never a diesel station where I need it...especially in the Northeast...moral of the story..planned fuel stops are a must, where as you can find gasoline anywhere...IMO

3.0 TDI 240hp 550nm torque, comb. fuel cons. 9.1 Litres per 100km 0-60 8.8

I am not sure if TDI will be exact same for US model but got to be pretty close.
