Default For those who have the side assist

Sometimes, but not always, after a few minutes of starting the car and travelling, the left side assist lights up, even though there is no car on my blind spot. Then sometimes my instrument screen would say that something is blocking the sensor and the side assist would turn itself off. I have had that happened to me for a few times and I was wondering if that has happened to those of you who have the side assist. Thanks.

Default Side Assist working ok for me. Sounds like you need to have the dealer look at this.

Default Get it checked. Side assist is a great feature - however, I have to keep reminding myself that

it doesn't work at slower speeds (below 45 mph?). The key word is "assist", so head-swiveling is still needed.

I get the message mainly when it rains too. Before the message appears, my left side assist lights up constantly for awhile. Is that what you are getting as well?

Default Re: For those who have the side assist

so my side assist finally broke. The instrument has a message saying the system is faulty. Now I can't even turn it on. My wife dropped off the car to the dealer today. Let's see what they will find.
