Default Input sought on Q7 purchase - need to upgrade the wife !

Looking to get any real world thought from folks who've led the way on a 4.2 My wife is coming out of a Lexus Rx330 / Z3 3.0 and with a 20 month old we're ready to make the move.

Our local dealer has good inventory but I'm debating the need for Premium, and some of the other options like the Air suspension ( love it in my A8). Any insight you can share on what you'd do differently or suggest would be greatly appreciated !

regards,

Default Got a 4.2 non-premium to replace my wife's MDX.

My wife did not want the large sunroof so we went non-premium. We did get the air suspension since we need more ground clearance for beach driving in summer and deep snow in winter. Even without the sunroof, you need to order the 4-zone AC to keep the kids and dog cool. We also ordered the heated seats, side assist and I had to have the S-line package once I saw how it eliminated the 2-tone plastic on the sides. You should also know that not all child seats fit the Q7 since the rear headrests are not removable. We got rid of our Graco seats and bought Recaro Young Sport seats that our kids love. Overall, the Q7 is so solid, quiet and refined that it makes our old MDX feel like a tin can.

Default My wife hates the sunroof as well. Thin shade to be exact.
