is audi coming with the q7 to late into the biz? discuss

all other manufacturers have suv's allready on the market and with the fuel hike now here in the states some people are looking away from suv's and going to other platforms...
whats the opinion on that? will audi release the q7 and then stop production after it turns out to be a flop. or will the q7 beat everyone elses quality and reputation without problems?
