Default TDI for the USA - MPG estimates

http://www.whnet.com/4x4/diesel.html

I am very excited about the TDI announcements for the USA. We need more TDI choices in the US.

See my next post for mpg figures.

Default Re: TDI for the USA - MPG estimates

The audi uk site is reporting mpg figures. These are uk gallons. I did the conversion
Converted to US Gallons.

A4 Data
21.6 mpg city
39.8 mpg highway
30.8 mpg combined

Q7 Data
15.82 mpg city
28.31 mpg highway
22.3 mpg combined

This is great and more torque too!

I ran a 2008 2.0TDI (140 version) A6 Avant auto for twelve months in UK, keeping records of milage & fuel. worked out average of 39.9 m.p.g (Imperial gallons) for one years motoring.
I now have the 2.7 TDI (190 HP) A6 Avant and am keeping a record for this one.

My Q7 TDI (USA spec) is averaging 21.7 mpg combined hwy/city roughly 50/50 split so far after 8,000 miles. I find that the mileage range is different than the post below for my Q7 in that I get a bit over 24mpg on the freeway and somewhere around 19mpg in town. I have the oem roof rack cross bars on the car all the time and sometimes a case on it FWIW.

Did I miss some kind of news on this? I haven't heard anything about an A6 TDI in the USA yet.

Very interesting to know - are the customers of USA starting to use Audi-TDI technology after last economical collapse?
