Default clicking noise??

i have an annoying 'clicking' noise that comes from under my dash on the driver side. it sounds like a relay that clicks on and then off about 4 seconds later. PLEASE help is so annoying and my dealer can not find it!!

that's not very nice. Are you that sarcastic with people in person, or do you just get like that when you're typing? You just criticized someone else today for asking a redundant question. I don't know about everyone else, but I didn't get any value whatsoever from reading your rude little messages. I guess you are pretty expert with cars -- why don't you answer people helpfully instead of making them feel retarded.

Maybe they don't know what other details to give -- so tell them.

Default okay, Mister-10-post-hobbes

You read two of my posts and judge me? Super. I bet you were a hall monitor in school, or you still are.

Stick around a bit, troll a bit, do whatever you do... you'll see I offer helpful advice when it is solicited.

Let's see, here's some suggestions for him as to helpful information he should add, if it'll make you happy.

1) WHEN does it click
2) HOW frequently does it click
3) What kind of car do you have? yr/model/drivetrain/etc. (obviously it's a 1.8t, but there's more than one car with a 1.8t)
4) WHEN did it start
5) WHERE has the dealer looked
6) WHAT else happens, if anything, when this relay *clicks* on

What he came here with is like going to the doctor and saying "I don't feel well. What's wrong with me?"

...and I'm exactly the same in person as I am on here. Sarcasm's a fantastic tool.

-the car is a 2002 A4 1.8t auto
-the clicks when i drive it like a granny
-it started when i bought the car
-nothing 'happens' when it clicks
-lately i think it is related to the position of the gas peddle
- there is always two clicks - like a click on then a click off - then nothing for about 30 seconds. then it will happen again.

sorry for not being an expert poster.
