Default Buddy of mine just had his APR'd ECU reflashed by the dealer. Apparently a new OEM software is out.

He didn't get much detail from APR but from what he could gather, Audi released another new ECU program for the 2.0t at the end of March, and it has to do something with a flapper intake or some such thing. APR did tell him that this time they (APR) have the updated software variants ready for the different cars, so it shouldn't be like last time where some folks went, in some cases, many many weeks waiting to get reflashed. I had my car in for service around the 1st or 2nd week of March and it wasn't done then, so barring any unplanned dealer visits I guess I'm good until August or so.

Anyone have any more info on this?

Default so far, dealer flashed my ecu at 35k i then had ecu reflashed by my turner. i was just in for my..

40k last week and the ecu was flashed by dealer, again.
is it safe to be reflashed with apr software? or do i need to wait for apr software to get updated?
soon it won't matter since my warranty will be gone in > 10k.

Default sounds like audi's trying to lower costs again by forcing currently tuned cars under warranty back t

o stock boost so there will be less repairs in the near term...? is that what i'm getting from this reflash your talking about?
