Default #2... but if you do a DTM bumper, the RS4 grille won't fit...

Regular A4's and the DTM A4/S4 have a smaller grille than the S-Line, standard S4 or RS4. If you do the DTM bumper, aftermarket grilles llike Caractere fit, so you can get a mesh, but they are a bit pricey.

Default #2 but..

The RS4 Grille won't fit on the DTM bumper. You'll have to get the DTM blackout grille as in the picture below:

Also, the mirrors you'll most likely want to paint in a glossy finish. Non-glossy black on the mirrors comes out looking like you painted it with a can of spray paint. A couple of shots with black painted mirrors:

The strip under your trunk is already painted red. I wonder if painting it black would make it stick out too much? Try putting some electrical tape over the strip and see what you think - an easy, non commital way to see how black would look.

Of course, these are my opinions. Your car already looks great, but those additional touches will make it yours.

Any thoughts of putting some of the $$ into performance instead of just looks?

John

Default you know i've got an opinion!

my vote is for #1 A, B and D, and your choice with the mirrors. my design sense is saying the window trim and the mirrors should match, so going black on the mirrors would be easiest/cheapest, but i think the chrome mirrors would look better. have you thought about painting the mirrors and trunk strip to match the titanium wheels? that could look real nice, and very unique.

Default Re: you know i've got an opinion!

i juggled that idea but decided against it because i feel like it would clash badly with the trim...the mirrors would always look dirty... i even thought of getting the strip and mirrors done in cf to match the kerscher front lip...
