Question about timing first service @ 5k

I currently have 4300 miles on the car and I know the first service is at 5k. My question is. Do I need to have 5k miles on the car before I take it for servise or can it be within a few hundred miles? How are dealerships regarding this? I bought my car from Palisades audi but can go to Anchor audi dince its closer to me. Thanks in advance.

my service rep had said to call him as soon as I hit 4k & he would get me right in. They even remembered to rotate the tires (I had "marked" one just to make sure).

i did mine at 4800 no problem w/dealer
