Default What's a good lease payment on this configured car ....?

2006 A4 2.0T with CVT, S-Line package, Premium Package, Sunroof package and metallic paint with MSRP of $36,285. My brother also wants the Bose audio package but apparently none of the cars currently sitting on dealer lots have this pacakge due to the infamous mix-up at the factory.

Lease terms: 24 months at 10K miles per year, zero cap reduction ($575 acquisition fee + first month's payment + doc & DMV fees due at signing)

Do you think $400-410/mo is reasonable?

I based my payment on the national lease AoA is running on the A4 2.0T CVT with Sunroof package at $349/mo. The configured car has an MSRP $5,325 higher than the advertised special. Audi seems to be using 75% residual for their lease, so I am calculating that the extra monthly payment will be about $60 due to the added options.

I have a couple of additional questions:
1) Do you have to pay the $575 acquisition fee or is this a bogus fee that can be waived off?

2) Can the capitalized cost be further negotiated down so that instead of the $36,285 MSRP you start from something lower? If that's the case, will the residual value for lease calculation still be based on 75% of the MSRP or 75% of this negotiated price?

BTW, this would be for a car in SoCal (LA/Orange County) if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance!

Default You need to work with real numbers...

Numbers you need:

1) MSRP (you have this)
2) Selling price/cap cost
3) MCF
4) Residual %

Then, plug those numbers in to leaseguide.com and you'll see exactly what the payment should be.

To give you an idea, I got a quick quote on a car with the exact same configuration but 15k per year... they said $520/month + tax + $1500 at signing (San Diego).

I'm not saying that your calculation is far off, but you would have to add tax for starters, and also work with the current AOA numbers to know exactly what you're dealing with.
