Default Headlight re-coding. Lows, Highs, and Fogs

Played around with Vag-Com this weekend and was trying to figure out how to enable different combos of lights.

Stock USA setting for A4s with the lighting package (Adaptive bi-xenons) is 01023, which allows for fogs/lows, but no fogs only or fogs/lows/highs.

Accessing block 09 (Central Electronics) and Coding the lights to 01021 turns them to Rest Of World setting which allows for Lows/Fogs and Lows/Highs/Fogs, but not Fogs only. It also turns off the amber parking lights when you turn to the parking lights setting or the headlights setting on your **** - so you're in euro lights mode. It actually looks pretty cool when running in the parking lights mode where either just the city lights are on, or the drls are on. No amber lights (unless you're using your flashers).

As far as I can tell there's no way to enable fogs only on the B7s.

Didn't see this posted anywhere. Just thought I'd share what I found...

John

Default By any chance, do you have Nav+ on your car?

Just trying to figure out if any these VAG changes will affect Nav+ or bluetooth connectivity. I realize it's a long shot, but I have to ask... Thanks.

Default I don't have Nav+ on my car.

You can always try the coding and if it has any kind of an effect, code it back. Worth a try...
