Euro plate with OEM holder & adapter installed!
First of all- big thanks to 400HPA4 from Audizine (yikes!) for hooking me up with everything for $50 shipped.
There are actually 2 parts that you need:
1) Euro plate adapter: 8E0 807 083 A
2) Euro plate holder: 8E0 807 285 R 1QP
The plate itself is from Schoolhouse Graphics. I've ordered from them multiple times with exceptional service and quality.
Install time is less than 5 minutes- I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. No messing around with 3M tape or frames that stick out:

Re: Sweet! If you got yours I guess that means mine should be here on Monday :-)
So what is the story on whether we need front plates in WA? Are you installing euro or no front plate at all?

That looks awesome. Did you also order the German plate shown from the same place? I'm hoping you can customize your own plate number on one. How much was the plate? Also, is it possible to order a plate from a country in Europe other than Germany? Thx

Washington State front plates
Well, I have done an informal survey over the past month, and at least up here on the plateau where I live, easily 1-2 cars out of 10 I pass going the other way don't have a front plate...
From what I can tell, and from the few people I have talked to, if your car is nice enough, and you are driving responsibly the cops don't bother with it....but if you are young looking and in a hoopty and driving like a maniac they will probably pull you over for it. Also figure that to see it, they have to be coming from the other direction and do a U-turn to pull you over.
I had a custom german plate made with my Washington state number. I am gonna put it on and see what happens. I will keep the WA plate in the cabin and if I see a cop that passed me doing a u-turn, I'll throw it on the dash.
Also, today at the NW Audi Club expo, I saw a lot of people who had trimmed down their WA plates to fit in a euro plate bracket...that looked horrible, IMO.

I think I will go for no plate at all. One can order a piece that fills that gap, correct? FYI - I live on the Plateau as well...gonna be two of our car here soon.

The dealer can get you the plate filler or you can get it through an aftermarket source like ECS Tuning.
It's weird how few B7's I see up here in "car land" on the plateau. Lots of hot cars, but in 2 months I have seen maybe 3 B7's. I live over by Sahalee C.C.
Until your car comes in you are always welcome to come do the Ames Lake Rd - Carnation Farm Road drive with me anytime. It's way too short, but it is one of the best drives in our area IMO.
