Default can you watch DVD movies on the NAV screen?

friend of mine just picked up a Cadillac CTS-V and he can play DVD movies on the Nav screen. Neat.

Does the Audi Nav system have this function too? I searched but didn't find anything related to this. Thanks

Default I believe so but it's "illegal" and you need to put caps or cross wires somewhere...iirc

It is out there....use the search or google it. I've read articles on how to do it.

Default I hope not

World is dangerous enough with people on cell phones and reading the newspaper.

Default NO, unless ...

... you hook up an external DVD player. The built-in DVD drive can only read DVD map disks and CD audio disks (not MP3).

Even then the screen will blank when you start driving, unless you add a box (from Dietz) that disables the speed signal over CAN to the DVD Nav+ - which you have to make switchable otherwise the navigation won't work properly.
