From the dealers perspective... which I happen to know because I work at one.... Audi internally has been touting that they are going to price the cars in a tier one perspective in order to widen the gaps between Audi and Volkswagen. The inital price of the A3 will be in line with the current price of the A4, the realistic price of 28000-37000.00 The A4 will then overlap around 35000-45000 with the S4 comming in around 53000.00 as an average. We assume this becuase the current price of the A6 which is 48-60000 and then the A8 around 70000.00. As for the lease programs I can assure you (and take my word because I am the finance manager here) There will be NO LEASE SPECIALS or rate specials when these cars hit the ground. There most likely will not be a program until the current body A4's are long gone. When the new A6 hit there where no programs for almost 2 months, we just got our first programs and they are NOTHING like the programs available on the current A4. The release date for the A3 in the states will be April / May with the S4 right behind it, as we are expecting the first A4 B7 any day now (we have one on truck on its way here) that is a "demo/order" car.
We did get to deliver a car to an AOA proving grounds track employee reciently and got some cool news.... The RS4 WILL WITHOUT QUESTION COME TO THE STATES. This has been confirmed with 425hp under its belt. We will not, however get the avant version of the car. We will also get the LeMans which is being tested as we speak, VERY EXCITING NEWS. as for a powerplant for that car, my source could not comment but he did say that it would be a VERY LIMMITED CAR. Also the Q7, I was told was bigger than I expected. It will be bigger than the current model Explorer... I think that is pretty big for a European SUV... All pretty cool news./.... I will share as I learn

Aight...I hear you... next question.. So you think the A4 will begin it's lease program around June?? You think the lease will be in the $400 range?? I think I asked this question earlier in the week...just want new perspective as I begin to save up for that "cash due at signing" money....

Here is a very humble quote...
WITH 5000 DOWN 12K MILES PER YEAR... Using a money factor of .00260 a residual of 44% and a selling price of 37500.00 with a MSRP of 37500.00 your payment would be around 517.16/month for 48 months. I would bet that will be close.

If they plan on putting a serious dent to BMW and Mercedes in the US...they need to undercut them pricewise. $38,000 for a loaded A3 3.2 and $45,000 for a loaded A4 3.2 is ridiculous IMO.

the TL is a wonderful car but it's not an audi. the B7 is worth the price of admission over the TL- at least i think it is. i am sure you have your reasons but i hope you reconsider....
