Default Newbie Here

What's up Audi heads? I am a current E46 coupe owner and am very pleased with my car. However EVERYTHING that I have read/seen on the new Audi B7 RS4 has made me fall in LOVE with it. I am already #1 on the interest/wait list at Rusnak Audi for the RS4, so hopefully sometime next year I can join all of you guys as a proud Audi owner!

Default $$$$

Oh yeah, I'm saving my loochie. Any thoughts on where the pricing will be? I heard the B7 S4 was going up around 5% over the B6 S4, and I would figure the E90 M3 will still be in the high $50k low $60k range. Which makes me think the the new B7 RS4 will probably fall in the $58-$64k range.

Default I think that you are right.

I think the RS4 will be in the low $60k.

Default 65-70k is too high

If Audi plans on re-releasing the RS6, which will directly compete with the BMW M5 and Mercedes E55 (which are both priced in the 70-80k range) how could they price the RS4 in same range as the M5 and E55? That would mean that the RS6 would be priced in the 85-95K range.

You may know more than me but my guess is the B7 S4 will be around 54k and the B7 RS4 about 62k.

Default i hope YOU are right b/c less is better BUT...

the RS4 aims at slightly more exclusive status than the M3 (in this case the upcoming M3). i would guess it would start at about 60K (definitely not lower than 60K)- and top out at around 65K fully loaded (Nav, heated seats, 19's standard or not, exhaust system, sun shades, and maybe even solar roof). remember that despite the FSI it'll prob have a nasty gas guzzler tax.

no matter what it will be an expensive piece of metal to park on the driveway....

remember this is going to be a 4.4 or less 0-60 car with the ability to lap the nurbugring at speeds equal to that of the current 911 turbo. rumor says it will have extensive aluminum body bits and maybe even carbon fibre too. i wouldn't be surprised if it had titanium connecting rods with that rumored 9K RPM redline.

this is a FASTER car than the new M5, CLS 55, E55, and M6!

i'd say 65K or so -loaded- would you have it any other way? ....

we'll know for sure sometime around early march.

magic word is GENEVA.

Default The new M5 will be well above the $80k mark this time,

if not flirting with the $90k range.
The E55 is mid $80k now.
So $65k for an RS4 is not bad.
The new M3 will also be much more expensive than the current one.

That sounds right. I wouldn't be the slightest surprised if it does top 65K loaded. I just couldn't see Audi pricing it >$70K.

I also realize that the RS4 will not directly compete with the E90 or E46 M3. That's for the S4. I want to see the RS4 compete with a Porsche Turbo!
