Default Road and Track, B7 3.2.....

Hey all,

I talked to my local dealer and they did NOT say the 3.2 will only initially be available in Auto/Tip.

Now, I read in R+T that the 3.2 will ONLY be available, initially with the Auto/Tip .......

Does anyone know, for a fact which is true?

NOT just a guess please....

thanks,
kj

Default Road and Track is right.

The initial order on the A4 3.2 will be 6 speed Tiptronic Quattro only.
For now no CVT or Manual.

Do you know when we can expect the manual for the 3.2?

I'm hoping this doesn't apply for the 2.0T when it comes out...

Not sure about the 3.2; it could be later in the year or a year later. Who know with Audi.

The 2.0 will come as follow:
2.0 FWD 6 speed manual
2.0 FWD CVT
2.0 Quattro 6 speed manual
2.0 Quattro 6 speed Tiptronic

We have ordered a few of each at our dealership.

Looks like I'll have to wait to test drive this to see whether it's worth picking up over a '05 3.0 ...

Well, talked with the dealer again today.

I was told that the 3.2 WILL only come with the Tip for the first few months or so.

The 2.0T WILL ship with Tip and 6 speed Manual immediatley, but Quattro versions won't show up intil mid Feb, where the FWD's will be mid to late Jan.

ugghhhhhhhh

Default which one...

Well, I was planning on the 3.2. But I want a manual again as I'm not too thrilled with my Tip.

So, maybe I'll end up getting the 2.0T and doing some basic mods to it.

I've been trying to get someone to take over my lease so I don't lose any money on this and if that ends up happening, I'll probably get an S4. But if I can't find anyone to take it over in the next 4-6 weeks, I'll just wait until Feb for the new A4's.

I know there is a big difference between the A4 and S4, but I think either way I'll be happy again just to have a manual tranny.

I know lots don't like the look of the new B7, but I think it looks slick and just like the B6 will catch on...

Default I will never understand why Audi wastes their time with FWD.

Save production costs, make only quattro.

I agree with you... it'll take time for the look to catch on. Based on the pictures, it definately has a more aggressive look to it. However, I have to agree when people say the back end looks like a Civic... however, we'll have to wait and see in person.

Pictures are very deceiving.
