MMI and the car wash...

Hey, how do you keep the MMI display in the dash when you give the keys to the guy at the car wash to prevent someone making a mess (or worse) trying to clean the screen, etc. --- mine pops up whenever the key is turned and haven't figured out a way to keep the display down, so my car interior is getting dirty and don't relish having to clean it myself!

Before shutting off the car, Press & hold the volume control **** next to the MMI button until the screen closes. When you start the car the screen will not open unless you push the screen button on the dash or hold the volume control down for two seconds.

Now wait for others to chime in that you better be going to a hand car wash and not any automatic ones!

I personally use Groit's Garage stuff and hand was for nine or ten months a year and use "Terrible Herbst style" automatic washes or the "quarter" car wash during the cold season.
