Hello all,

I finally found the perfect car (for me) after all that obsessing! Silver with black interior, 18 inch 9 spokes, vent and massage seats, parktronic, cold, convenience, adaptive cruise, and satalite radio. the final decision came down to wanting the "old" front end and the features listed, and silver was my only option. I was trying to get away from the silver exterior as my last car was silver. I'm glad I once again chose the silver. It is a beautiful car. I have driven 2200 miles in the first 10 days of ownership (and they were with 3 kids in the back!) and to say i'm thrilled with this car is an understatement.

I'm sure i'll be raving in many a thread in the coming months but just wanted to share a few observations.
1. The adaptive cruise is THE BEST i have used when compared to the LS430 and SL500
2. The ventillated seats are a must for summertime travel
3. The 18 inch 9 spoke rims fit the car well and give it a slightly more aggressive look. They are also easy to clean!!
3. Yes, ground up chex mix does fit nicely into the perforations in the rear seat leather, but comes up rather easily.

I'd be very interested in hearing about any custom DVD video installs which place the DVD player in the glove box and monitors in the headrests. My dealer states that it is possible to run a second CD changer in this glovebox spot. I don't care about video on the front screen, just sound thru the car speakers.
Thanks for all your help!!
Jeff

I really didn't think i'd get the silver, but it is classic! Agree about the rims. I saw a BUNCH of A8's with the 12 spoke rims in chicago. they looked great, but they all had dirty front rims! I actually did a double take the first time is saw one with the dirty dark grey front rims, and silver less dirty rims on the rear.

Default I would do the Dakar Beige on a new A6 or an A8, which is quite beautiful.
