Default Leased mine for 3 yrs and bought at lease end...

Have 64K miles on it now, with a number of good highway trips. 6500 miles this summer (Louisiana to Michigan for wedding, through the Black Hills and Mt Rushmore, to Denver to see the kids, then to Vegas and back to Louisiana) with no problems, followed by 3800 miles this past week (to Denver/Boulder/Beaver Creek to visit the kids for Xmas). Not only was the A6 trouble free, but handled the fairly significant snow fall prefectly on Conti all seasons, with a calculated (not the somewhat optimistic trip conputer) 27.5 mpg for the entire 9 days.

If you're buying used, look carefully, check the service history, and have a PPI done (or have Bruce M find one for you). With all the '05 and '06 models coming off lease, there is definitely a buyer's market out there. Good luck.

Default I like it...but i miss my 5 series bimmer

I think that the driving aspect is what i miss about my E39, it just felt like i could throw it around a bend at any speed and it could handle it. It was also a RWD car so im sure that plays a difference also. Hands down, my A6 has more luxury and gadgetry that the bimmer cant compete with. I enjoy the MMI alot. But i miss the drive of a bimmer.

Im hoping when i get around to changing the suspension to give a more sporty feel that it will win my heart over but right now im on the bubble.
