Better pic of the Caractere rear valance and tips
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/75066/c6a6-8.jpg">
What I like is the shape of the tips. What I don't is that the rear valance projects beyond the rear bumper, plus it has 4-5 lines running north-south as part of the design.
I would have much preferred that it looked like the original valance, and the tips are flush with it.
For those who want to stick with the original valance and yet install these tips, you may want to look at brokerjoe's posting below on installing the Porsche 997 tips. Not sure how much the Caractere tips will project beyond the stock valance though, altough a hacksaw and welding tools may help to reduce the amount.

Probably the distortion from the 28mm lens that's causing it.
If you look at my post a few threads down, it actually is quite proportionate with a different perspective.
I checked out the Acura website - the tips may be the same shape, but they're proportionately a lot smaller than the Caractere's.
Thanks - the TL's pretty ugly.

Thanks. Nobody's noticed it but I've also reduced the size of the
rear chrome strip. Had one of the car decal shops stick on high gloss black on the bevel edge of the strip. It looks like the reflection of the black paint, but it's not. The look is more subtle now with less chrome.

No, no, no! I'm not saying it's ugly; not my intention at all!
I'm just saying it reminds me of a TL.
I, personally, like the TL.
I've learned that when you put something out for other to view you get a myriad of opinions. Some people have the audacity to think that their opinion is better than others. I don't. Your car looks very nice. I like the black paint. It's classy. The exhaust tips are a nice customization for it.
I am fortunate to live in an area where there are very few Audi's. Mine stands out as stock! ...saves me a bundle of money!
Oh, and I'm not going to compete with the online crowd. There will always be someone who can out-do me. Pretty soon, I'll have the only stock C6 out there and that will be novel by itself.

Nah, it's the best out there...how the factory should have done it.
Has that big presence, almost snobbish Bentley/Rolls look to it. Big, bad, exotic, and well endowed. I can't compliment it enough. Very wise move.
