That might be the spring to raise the sunroof leading edge wind deflector.

That is the spring that holds the sunroof cover up when the sunroof is
raised up in the rear vent position. There are two of those springs, and the plastic clips that hold it in place break.

Thanks, I'll have to get on something to see up there and check to see if the clips are broken or just came off.
