I went brushed for the more subtle look. They actually look like Matt close up but a few feet away have a nice sheen.
Polished looks good on some cars too but a little too bright for me. (Close to chrome)

How do you like the fit of your "eyelids"? In your sig you can't really see the seam. Is the fit close? How do they attach and is it sturdy?
I really like the look but want to make sure it's a quality add on first. Thanks. |

I've purchased eyelids pretty much for every car since my '90 Corrado - mainly for the meaner (and different) look. These by far have had the best fit of any that I've had through the years. I will say that I decided to thin them out somewhat after receiving them. I think my car headlights were slightly adjusted differently when I first pulled the bumper to check if I could remove the inner chrome from my headlights.

How easy/hard would it be to do that for someone with limited experience? I haven't fitted mine on yet and can't decide if they make the headlight look too squished.

so I took a belt sander and sanded the leading edge down a cm or two. You can see the evidence in my pic at the point where the eyelid meets the top corner of the fender. I thought it was pretty easy myself. It seems like the eyelids are made from fiberglass composite so it went right down with a little persuasion. Not sure what else could be used to modify them, but I wouldn't want it to be uneven.

I picked mine up from MadAudi a couple of months ago. Price was right and they were the only one to carry it at the time (before the S6 was even out in the US).

How much did you take them down?
Did you re-coat them with anything afterwards?
