Default Its a recode using VAG tools but...

...usually applies to us regular Audi folk. I'd think the RS 6 was factory coded. The tip recode generally used is 00032.

Default yeah..so what?

I tried looking into doing it on the RS6, buy the tiptronic already comes in sport mode.
The B5 S4 tiptronic has the tendency to shift from first to second too fast, and you can't downshift to first.
With the RS6, it will hold the 1st gear longer and you can downshift to first, so it's already programmed OOB (out-of-box).

No need to recode anything.

Default I wish pulling back was the upshift and pushing forward was the downshift

Too bad there is no easy way switch that.

Default on airplanes maybe

Our car is still not an airplane, thus it's not the opposite fashion to move between gears.
I tell you something though...for a car this expensive, you should be able to change it.

I have issues with the pedal shifters though.

Default hmm......

any difference b/w tip on the s4 vs rs6 besides handling the 450hp engine? Just wondering.. I use sport mode most of the time vs the tip to get better mpg and have a fun time.
