Anyone want a Lotus Elan?

I was visiting my wife last weekend, & the base has a resale lot with a white Lotus Elan for sale. If you're not familiar w/ it, there are only 550 of them, 150 of which are in the US. They were only made in 1991 & are all convertible. It's a neat looking car, but it would suck trying to find parts for it. I'm no fan of british cars except for the Lotus & Aston Martin. They were asking around 20G's which is kinda high, but when you have a rare car I guess you can ask whatever you want. I don't know any other details about it. I'd buy it if I didn't have more pressing issues right now, as I just went part-time as of today in order to spend more time with my wife & daughter. BTW, some young kid there is driving a Lamborghini Countach. It's a hideous car IMO, but kinda cool to see one. I compare it to the DeLorean: neat to see, but highly overrated & worhtless. I'd rather have the Lotus, even though the Lambo is Italian. Of course I'm highly biased toward Mr. Enzo Ferrari's/Pinninfarina's engineering (RIP, Enzo).

I'd like a Lotus Elise. I know what mods I'd want, Q, uh, I mean UrS4. How about the submarine feature, rocket launcher, smoke screen harpoon guns, oil sprayer, and who knows what else. 8-)

Then again, an Aston Martin DB5 would be awesome. Oh, I'll take the silver one, please. I'll even take one of the newer ones, like the Vantage.

I see a gun metal grey Lambo all the time here (There's a Lambo/RR/Bentley/Aston Martin dealer downtown. I agree, the lambo look outrageous. It's pretty ugly, but it's guranteed to turn heads. What's the mileage? 8 mpg?

By the way, I like the DeLorean. From close they look cheap, and they aren't exactly fast, but I do like the brushed stainless steel finish. Just use steel wool or Scotch Brite to buff the car.
