Default Guess what this is or going to be?

Click the image to open in full size.

Hint: It's never been done on any 2.8 12v that I know of. It's 2.8 12V specific. It's shown upright in the pic (tho it makes no difference at this point if it were swapped end-for-end) and it's height (1.8460") and it's O.D. (2.0925") are finished sizes. It started life earlier this morning as a solid rod of 2.25" O.D. 7075 series aluminum. The bore is simply the largest size drill bit I have at 1 7/32" (<31mm).

Nothing on O.D. or length will change.

Any guesses?

More later as it morphs into the fretfully obvious.

Default Not that I need to buy any, but...

where do you buy the raw metal that you start with? I'm just curious.

Default Yep, but not the primary sleeve. This one is a velocity stack I'm experimenting with for...

the larger (secondary) bore. I'll flow it later this afternoon and tomorrow with different angles, inlet sizes and outlet sizes to see if there's any benefit.

Default local source called "Alreco" acronym for aluminum recycling co,

they sell aluminum by the pound based on number series, ie; 6061, 7075 et regardless if it's rod, tube, bar, hex or sheet.

Default I guess I never thought about it, but there's probably places like that all over the place.
