what i was thinking is to read all the controllers from my ecu and recode the modules on the passat ecu , using vag-com i guess. when i read my ecu data i go in adaptation ? or is just what i see at first page , soft coding...?i am a little confuse , but i know i have to recode the passat module for quattro , trans , engine , brakes, central at least , i am wonder if vag-com will do the job

Default There is a button for "Coding". The coding is a single number.

Default The coding value to enter, is built up using the bit values shown in the chart...

See link, the example is for the 2.7T, however the 2.8 ECU coding is similar if not the same.
You can use the same coding in the replacment ECU as is stored/used by the original ECU.

i understand that but i think i have to match the replacement ecu with the original ecu values on more than just the engine code, because i have more future than passat on a6, and key match / quattro , central locking system .. , but thank you for the link , i will dig some more info before i start do something

Default If you are replacing just the ECU, it is just the engine coding to be concerned with

Central locking is a separate module. If you aren't changing it, it will retain its existing coding.
