1994 Audi Cab - Flakey VAG-COM Communication -

I have an airbag light on and I'm unable to communicate with the airbag controller. My VAG-COM software only finds the interface about 50% of the time. The interface is a Ross-Tech Key-Com Rev 2.10. with a 2X2 adapter.

Continuity checks on the 2X2 adapter are good.

Voltage and ground on the black connector are +12.25 DCV. K-line voltage is reading high at +11.25 DCV.

I've disconnected the individual "K" wires to identify what is shorted to B+, most individual wires are reading over the expected +9 DCV.

I've gone through the FAQ's on the Ross-Tech Site to eliminate any communications issues.

Any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you contact us in the office directly? As a registered user of VAG-COM, you are entitled to tech support for a problem like this.

There are several possibilities that are best sorted by talking "live" with our tech support guys. By "live" I am implying that you be in the car with the computer and calling on a cell phone.

May I suggest you give that a try some day next week? Our hours are 9am - 6pm EDT. We are located just outside Philadelphia if that helps.
