what are pins 1 and 5 for on the OBD port?

I always thought pin 16 was the power to external devices..

I learn something new everyday, by the way where did you find this info, cause my searches turned up nada..

Audi calls this the "Data Link Connector", or "DLC", there is only one +12vdc circuit shown, AFAIK, there isn't a second circuit also, just one.
