DTC 00797 Sunlight photo sensor (G107)
30-00 Open to short or B+.
Found this DTC during ABS Controller diagnosis with VAG as described in below post. Anyone know what this could be? Is this sensor the one in the rear view mirror for the auto-dim feature? It is listed under address 03, Auto HVAC.
Any suggestions on how to find/fix this problem?
I have a 2000 S4.

I believe it is the sensor on the top of the dash under the speaker cover. Think it allows extra cooling when sun shines on the sensor.
