Default VAG'ed my car just a few minutes ago and received this error code; any ideas?

Control Module Part Number: 8E0 909 518 G
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0002
Software Coding: 0016581
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
1 Fault Found:
16804 - Catalyst System: Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold
P0420 - 002 -Lower Limit Exceeded-Intermittent

My Audihaus supposedly replaced my o2 sensor and it looks like the fuel rail and hoses. According to them, those parts were changed out because my A:F ratio showed my engine was running lean.

Second question relates to recoding: does the A6 recodes work on an 02 A4? Original code was 001001 and I was tempted to change it but thought I'd ask around first.

Thanks in advance.

Ken

Default Either your cat is not working correctly or ...

the rear O2 sensor BELIEVES that the cat is not working correctly. Check the cat, rear O2 sensor, and wiring for the sensor.

As for the recode, what are you trying to do? See this page:

Default Thanks Andy! Now I know what questions to ask at the local Audihaus.

Especially since I just paid 450 euros (or 530 dollars!) for my 40,000 mile service interval!

As far as the re-code, thought I'd ask around first before re-coding my ECU, per the article.
