Default code interpretation

I'm getting a dtc fault of 64764: unknown: reason [64764] [sporadic] on 01 engine module. Anyone know what this means?

Also, is there a complete source of 5-digit dtcs somewhere? I've seen the R. Bentley link but it seems to not have all the codes I'm experiencing. And, could someone explain what the difference is between these 5-digit dtcs and the PXXXX type dtcs. Sorry if this has been hashed over but I can't seem to get a straight answer via searching (also I'm just ramping up to speed on digital diagnostic systems).

Thanks.

Default DTC 64764 is undefined.

And there's no PXXXX code equivalent. If your ECU is chipped, talk to your chip-tuner.

5-Digit codes are native VAG codes. PXXXX codes are defined by the SAE. Since VAG-COM uses the native VAG protocols just like the dealer's tool, it receives native VAG codes from the car. If there's an SAE equivalent P-code number, current versions of VAG-COM will give that to you as well.

Default Thanks Uwe

I've been also getting dtcs like 01371 (defined as: "alarm via door contact switch driver's side") without the PXXXX SAE equivlents. I guess this means it is only reading native VAG codes. The car is chip, hence no PXXXX readings for 64764 (?). Thanks again.
