Default I was just watching this video again....

Click for vid.

.....listening to the sound of that supercharger and thinking about the "soon to be released" superchargers for our cars. It's gonna be sick to hear that whine under the hood. What's amazing is that the MTM supercharged RS4 has 535hp... and the VF/AWE supercharger will make about 500hp. Would be cool to see what the MTM supercharged RS4 could do with a lower compression ratio like ours.

Default Thanks, I'm know I'm just a hack. Most of the footage my wife took with just a point and shoot

digicam. It was sure a lot of fun to do though. :-)

The supercharged RS4 is one of those unforgettable experiences. Amazing car.

And for the record I granny shifted the car because they were scheduled to run the Tuner Grand Prix just a few days later and I really didn't want to be the dude to mess that up for them.

I figured you didn't want to take the chance of breaking something. I would've done the same. But, man, that supercharged engine is screaming to be powershifted!

Default About half an hour into the test drive...

I got it out on the Autobahn and wound it up to about 170 mph. At that point, the engine just died violently and wouldn't rev above 1500 RPM. The CEL was on.

I really thought I blew the engine and felt terrible. After pulling to the side of the road and turning the car off, it was back to normal.

I was still worried and wasn't too hard on the car. After talking to Roland (owner of MTM), he was like "oh yeah, this prototype code does that". It was something along the lines that they didn't want journalists taking this thing to top speed on public roads.

It would have been nice of him to tell me before hand! lol

The code wasn't optimized yet for the LWFW either. The revs REALLY wanted to hang. It would even bounce of the rev limiter between shifts at times. It wasn't an "easy" car to drive.
