Default Saw an A4 Cab 2.4 on Saturday

I was at Crown Audi in Greensboro, NC, and noticed an A4 Cab with a "2.4" badge. Is this a new engine for the States? Anyone know?

I have a 2.4 v6. In the UK it's the 3rd engine choice we have.

You get the great sound of the V6, but without the drink problems of the 3.0

yes but booze is cheap in the US, so they don't have a problem with the 3.0 drinking so much

Default Re: cheap booze/ 2.4 horse power question

At $2.50 a gallon here in San Francisco, that booze is getting mighty exspensive...my 3.0 gets an average of 25 mpg/city/highway. I think that's pretty good. What does the 2.4 get? What is the horsepower rating of the 2.4?

The 2.4 is 170BHP

I usually get 28 MPG city/trotting around and about 35MPG on a run (highway)

Our fuel price is around £3.36/Gallon, which is about $5.29/Gallon !!!!!! plus US Gallons are bigger than the UK :-(

Mine is Multitronic.

I love it.

Default 3.0 VS 2.4 debate..Fuel consumption

If you look at audi's fuel consumption figures on the web site they are virtually identical.. only defference is to achieve 220BHP audi recommend super unleaded for the 3.0...
