Jim,
I would suggest Racer Wholesale in Roswell, GA. They are one block away from Andretti's. I would go there and tell them what kind of event you will be needing the helmet for. Then try on everyone they suggest. I must of tried on about eight helmets before deciding on the one I have now. Fit is just as important as visibility. Find the one that you think is perfect and ask if you can walk out and sit in your car with it on. Sitting in your car, make sure you can see both your side mirrors without having to turn your head much. I hope this helps, if not email me and I would be happy to help. Kerstin See ya at Roebling I hope! |

I may try and go swing by there, and then go see what APR has brought over, other than chips - see the cross post above.

At the end of the same road, GForce has their operation, to include a small showroom for local customers. I tried on some helmets there, and bought a track mat.
The GForce guy said that Racer Wholesale was in the process of moving to Florida, didn't have a storefront at all right now.

to bag going to Roebling Road this year. :-(
I'm still funding start up mods for the A8, and don't want to spend the money right now (helmet + fees + travel expenses adds up!). I am still wanting to do Xenons, and that would fund it right there. Plus a cell phone integration, maybe an XM, and, the biggie, some wheels (18" or 19"). And, oh, yeah, all the cool kids on the A8 boards have done H&R coilovers, and I would really like more sporty handling. I figure I ought to get the mods done now, so I'll have longer to enjoy them. Maybe next year! See you at the Petit LeMans in the Fall, if not before.
